Practicing Patience

“I have seen many storms in my life. Most storms have caught me by surprise, so I had to learn very quickly to look further and understand that I am not capable of controlling the weather, to exercise the art of patience and to respect the fury of nature.” (Paulo Coelho)

“Learn the art of patience. Apply discipline to your thoughts when they become anxious over the outcome of a goal. Impatience breeds anxiety, fear, discouragement and failure. Patience creates confidence, decisiveness, and a rational outlook, which eventually leads to success.” (Brian Adams)

“One minute of patience, ten years of peace.” (Greek proverb)

Practicing patience, every day.  It is a skill, it is a blessing of the will.

  1. Ah patience is a virtue. My dear Dad always told me that and also lived by it. Thanks for sharing this, I enjoyed reading it. I have just started a poety blog here on WordPress in case you have time to have a look? Wishing you a good day, Sam :)

    • Hi Sam, I would love to read your poetry. I love poetry…. such a beautiful expression. Patience is a virtue, and one that we must practice, every day. I know I’m always learning more, deepening my own well of patience on a regular basis, as new experiences that challenge us also teach us. Thank you for reading!
